Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do if I need urgent mental health support?

If you are in crisis or need urgent help, therapy may not be the immediate solution. Please click here for crisis support options and helplines.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

If you’re struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship issues, or any emotional challenges, therapy can help you gain clarity, resilience, and self-understanding. The first step is reaching out—book a session to see if therapy feels like the right fit for you.

Do I have ADHD? Can you help?

I am not an ADHD assessor, but I can help you explore your experiences, understand your challenges, and find ways to manage symptoms. If you’re looking for a formal diagnosis, I can guide you toward trusted professionals who provide ADHD assessments.

What about Autism and therapy?

I do not provide autism assessments, but I support individuals who are exploring their neurodiversity. Therapy can help you understand yourself better, navigate challenges, and find strategies that work for you. I can also signpost you to professionals who offer autism assessments if needed.

How many therapy sessions will I need?

Therapy is different for everyone—some people benefit from short-term support, while others prefer ongoing sessions. We’ll work together to find the best approach for you, whether it’s a few weeks or longer-term therapy.

What issues can therapy help with?

I offer therapy for anxiety, depression, self-esteem, trauma, grief, relationship issues, loneliness, stress, and more. If you're unsure whether therapy can help with your situation, feel free to reach out for a chat.

How much do therapy sessions cost?

Sessions cost £50 per 50 minutes, with a reduced rate of £45 for students and those on a low income. A 10% discount is available when booking a block of four sessions.

I offer a free 20-minute introductory call where we can chat about what’s going on for you and how I can help. This gives you the chance to ask any questions and decide if therapy feels right for you before booking a full session.

What happens in a therapy session?

Each session is a safe space where you can talk openly without judgment. We’ll explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace, helping you develop coping strategies and self-awareness. Click here to learn more about what happens in a session.

Can therapy help with stress and burnout?

Yes, therapy can help you manage stress, prevent burnout, and develop healthier coping mechanisms. We’ll work on setting boundaries, identifying triggers, and improving your emotional well-being.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes, therapy is confidential. Everything we discuss stays between us, except in cases where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, in line with professional ethical guidelines.

Is in-person or online therapy better?

I offer both in-person therapy in Felixstowe and online sessions, so you can choose what works best for you. While online therapy is convenient, I recommend in-person sessions whenever possible. Being in the same room helps build a stronger connection, allows for better non-verbal communication, and creates a more focused, distraction-free space for healing. However, if you prefer the flexibility of online therapy, I can still provide a supportive and effective experience.

Do I need to book a full session first?

No, you don’t have to commit to a full session right away. I offer a free 20-minute introductory call where we can have a chat about what’s going on for you and how I can help. This gives you the chance to ask any questions and decide if therapy feels right for you before booking a full session.

Do you accept company EAP referrals?

Yes, I accept Employee Assistance Program (EAP) referrals and am compatible with Bupa. If your employer provides EAP-funded therapy, check with them to see if you’re eligible. Feel free to contact me for more details on how to arrange sessions through your workplace support scheme.

What if I am a parent looking to support my child who is struggling?

If your child is struggling with their mental health, it can be difficult to know where to turn. I offer therapy for young people aged 16+, providing a safe and supportive space to help them build confidence, manage emotions, and navigate challenges.

I also work closely with parents, offering guidance on how to support your child’s well-being. If your child is under 16 or requires specialized support, I can signpost you to trusted professionals who can help. If you're unsure where to start, feel free to book a free 20-minute introductory call.

How do I pay for therapy sessions?

I accept payment by cash or bank transfer. If you book a block of four sessions, you’ll receive a 10% discount. Payment details will be provided upon booking. If you have any questions about payment, feel free to ask.
